City star Sergio Aguero praised Klopp and Liverpool ahead of today's match, saying fans are in for a great spectacle.
"It should be a great game," he said. "Jurgen Klopp has come in and he is a great addition to the Premier League. I have stated before that it is a good thing that the best players and managers come to England; it makes it one of the most competitive tournaments in the whole world. Klopp did a great job at [Borussia] Dortmund and that secured his spot in the Premier League. I am sure he will have the time he needs to adapt. The truth is playing against tougher opponents makes us all better at our jobs."
Meanwhile, Klopp has a pretty impressive record against City and is hoping to keep it that way today.
"I played [them] with Dortmund twice and never lost! I think eight players from that team are still there at the moment," he said. "They have high quality - but the best news is, it's football. So we have a chance. I'm looking forward to the game. Two weeks is long enough after Crystal Palace. Now we have the next chance."
