In October, Wale visited the Breakfast Club and chimed in on the Meek Mill and Drake beef. Apparently, Wale’s comments weren’t received well by his MMG label mate and things got interesting between the two. Soon thereafter, Rick Ross stepped in to defuse the situation. He recently gave an update on his artists and his new album, Black Market.

During an interview with AllHipHop.com, Ross spoke on the most recent spat between Wale and Meek.

“You know, those brothers forever,” he said. “That’s my family. As you can see it’s already done came and went. It’s all about making dope music. And like I said, I feel like me being in a position I am. Me being a boss. Me being as experienced as I am, I feel like them going through that, or whatever you call it, in 10 years when they’re executives they’re gonna be able to give that same game to youngstas. Like ‘Yo, I did that before, but this how we do it.' I look at things different.”

Ross initially addressed the situation via SnapChat, saying, “Just got a few calls. N*ggas asking me about my little brothers the squad. It's MMG forever n*gga. The empire. F*ck that.”

After Wale offered up his honest opinion saying Meek brought “a pencil to a gun fight" in regard to his beef with Drake, the Philly rapper took to Instagram in a since-deleted post to once again publicly shame Wale with another infamous rant telling the “Bad” lyricist, "you not MMG.”

As for his new album, Ross hinted at what’s to be expected.

Black Market, I feel like you gon’ get Ricky Rozay in his most comfortable space ever. Real soulful. It’s layered with live music. I’m on my sh*t,” he said.

Black Market is scheduled for release on Dec. 4.
