2 Chainz is known for his fun, humorous rap lyrics but when it comes to his freestyle verses, some are a little unimpressed.
Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex recently appeared on ESPN2's Highly Questionable and dished on just about everything including who had the worst freestyle on his radio show.
"The freestyle that wasn't very good on my show, it had to be 2 Chainz," Flex said. "Honestly, I think I caught him off guard. I think he didn't expect me to ask him to do it. Because I've heard him on shows freestyling before so I knew he could handle it. But I think that day, he couldn't handle it."
2 Chainz recently released the trailer for his upcoming EP, Freebase, which will be released just in time for summer.
Music Times reported that the project will strictly feature street raps.
The five-song EP is due out May 5.
"It has been a minute since the release of my album 'B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time' and I wanted to give something special to my fans while I record my follow up album," 2 Chainz said in a press release. "This is a taste of what is to come, and is most importantly, for them."
In light of Flex's comment and preparation for the release of his new project, maybe 2 Chainz will deliver an impromptu freestyle at his next public appearance.
