About the young woman's death he further said, "It's been reported at this time a 25-year old woman has lost her life and we believe it's a direct result of a drug overdose. We won't know the full extent of the situation until and autopsy has been conducted and the investigators are now preparing a brief for the coroner."

Stereosonic is a five-date festival that travels to five different cities across Australia and hits Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. Headliners this year included Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Alesso, Carl Cox, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Disclosure and Diplo. The DJs travel to each of the five stops and experience a mini-tour of sorts as they are all grouped together.

Since the reported overdose occurred on the first stop of the tour, it remains to be seen how the tragedy will affect the following four.
