The wheels of the justice system are turning slowly but surely for Chris Brown.

Earlier this month (April 7), Chris Brown's body guard, Christopher Hollosy, admitted to punching a D.C. man outside of the W Hotel last fall.

During his testimony, Hollosy claimed that he acted alone.

According to XXL, Hollosy was convicted of misdemeanor assault.

The site also reported that as a result of Hollosy's testimony, Brown's trial was delayed until Wednesday.

Hollosy's testimony is still under investigation which prompted attorneys to postpone the trial date. Brown's attorneys insist that Hollosy testify at the "Loyal" crooner's trial.

Brown's attorneys are hoping that Hollosy will testify and clearly state that he was the one in fact who punched Parker Adams for trying to sneak on the singer's tour bus and jump in a picture with him.

Bernard Grimm, Hollosy's lawyer, plans to appeal his conviction.

Chris Brown's fate is depending on Hollosy's testimony.

Depending on whether or not he is granted immunity from the prosecutors, Hollosy's testimony could greatly alter the outcome of his appeal.

Brown's legal representation, Mark Geragos, said prosecutors have a "duty to fairly treat a defendant and to extend immunity in certain situations."

"It's going to be our argument that this is one of those situations," he said.

Geragos believes Hollosy's testimony will be the deciding factor in winning the case.

"I don't think that there's any doubt Chris Brown is not guilty," Geragos said, according to Billboard

Hollosy will be sentenced on June 25.
