Elton John's upcoming studio album, Wonderful Crazy Night is stitched together with a theme of positivity. When the singer-songwriter began crafting the LP in his head, he went to lyricist Bernie Taupin with his thematic idea. The album's lead single "Looking Up" embodies John's creation with the title alone. Now, the "Tiny Dancer" singer has shared a video of a live performance of the album track.

"I just said that I even wanted the slow songs to be optimistic," he explained to Rolling Stone. "I wanted to make a happy record. Joyous was the word I chose. Not happy, joyous. I said I want it to feel joyous from beginning to end, and even the slow songs should be joyous."

Due out of February 5, fans got a sneak peek at the album when John first unveiled "Looking Up" in October, and now he has dropped footage of him performing the track in the same month, alongside a live band of keyboardist Kim Bullard, percussionist Ray Cooper, bassist Matt Bissonette, guitarist Davey Johnstone, drummer Nigel Olsson and percussionist John Mahon.

Although the track hasn't made its way to the "Bennie and the Jets" singer's live set-list, he did however give the track a go during his Royal Albert Hall gig last month, which came in part of the Royal Variety Performance 2015.

"We'll see how many album tracks we can squeeze into our set," John told Rolling Stone. "It's difficult when you have a catalog and an audience expects to hear every song they know, but with these songs, I think they'll become staple Elton John songs." The singer hopes to add his latest tracks to his impending February tour.
