To say that Busta Rhymes is experiencing something of a comeback is an understatement. This is illustrated best by his triumphant performance in Newark this week. It's clear that Busta likes to surround himself with talent, and knows how to stay relevant. As such, he has recognized the cultural longevity, and impact, of Paterson, New Jersey rapper Fetty Wap and seems to have struck up quite a relationship with the rapper. Fetty joined Busta Rhymes, Mary J Blige, Puff Daddy, Lil Kim, Jadakiss, and many more on stage at Hot 97's #HotForTheHolidays concert. While many of the other artists that performed with Busta come from an earlier era in Hip Hop when Busta arguably hit his peak. Fetty's inclusion shows that Busta is still in touch, and ready to make an impact on hip-hop today. Only furthering their friendship and musical connection, Busta Rhymes requested that Fetty Wap perform at the graduation celebration for his son, T'ziah Wood-Smith. It's fair to say Smith was the coolest kid in his class that day, and possibly for the rest of his life.

According to XXL, Busta said, "I fell in love with [Fetty Wap] even more so providing a college graduation party for my older son who was 3 years old in the 'Woo Hah' video in 1996. Now he's 22 years old with a college degree in business marketing. I reached out to Fetty Wap with a request from my son for him to perform. He came through and delivered with no red tape, no hassle, no confusion. It was so beautiful the way he came through and stepped up to the home plate. I got to acknowledge The LOX for doing the same thing, Jadakiss, they did the same thing. I gotta acknowledge Swizz Beatz. All three of these entities came out for my son's college graduation party I threw for him at Space Ibiza in Manhattan. It was just such a proud father moment for me to see my friend and my allies to come out for my child."
