Check Out Trailer for 'Growing Up Hip Hop' Featuring Angela Simmons [WATCH]

We've had our share of reality shows over the past few years, some really good and some really, really bad. Hip-hop fans have been especially well served, with shows like Love & Hip-Hop NY, Love & Hip-Hop ATL and the most recently added Love & Hip-Hop LA. But WE TV decided to switch things up with Growing Up Hip Hop, a reality show not about the stars but about their children.

The show will feature Angela Simmons (Rev Run's daughter), Boogie Dash (Damon Dash's son), Romeo Miller (Master P's son), Kristinia DeBarge (James DeBarge's daughter), TJ Mizell (Son of the late Jam Master Jay) and Egypt Criss (Daughter of Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa and Treach from Naughty By Nature). In the works for quite some time, the trailer for Growing Up Hip Hop is finally here and it's a good one!

The teaser features short parts of each kid's life and the struggle to get out of the shadows of their famous parents. DeBarge deals with the reality that her famous father is an addict and fights not to follow in his footsteps. Miller, known for his Nickelodeon show Romeo!, aspires to be an artist and is trying his hardest not to fail. Dash and Simmons are already well known for their businesses and multiple endeavors, so having them on the show is a bonus. Just like her parents, Criss wants to be a musician but with an overbearing mother it gets a bit tough to focus on her music. Mizell largely remains a mystery in the trailer, so we hope to get more when the show debuts.

The trailer also reveals that Simmons had a scary situation with a stalker and may or may not have had some type of beef with DeBarge over Miller. Check out the trailer of Growing Up Hip Hop below and let us know if you'll be watching Jan. 7th.
