One Direction's Liam Payne has replied to former Oasis singer Noel Gallagher, who called his band c*cksuckers. The "History" singer expressed his disappointment in Gallagher, calling him a "sad" artist.

During Gallagher's prior interview, the Chasing Yesterday singer viscously claimed that fame is "wasted" on the scene's current pop stars, in particular, One Direction. "Does anybody give a f*ck about what any of these current pop stars are up to?" he asked. "Who gives a sh*t what f*cking One Direction do? C*cksuckers, all of them in rehab by the time they’re 30."

As NME points out, while speaking to BBC Radio 1, Payne revealed that he has met Gallagher in person and that he was nothing but cordial but due to the recent bashing comments, it appears that the High Flying Birds frontman is a bit two-faced.

"The funny thing was, I met him the day the story came out," Payne revealed. "I didn't know it was coming out, and he came up and said, 'All right, mate? How are you doing?' I was like, 'Fine thanks, mate. Nice to meet you'. The next day I read the story and thought, 'How sad is that?' He completely dissed us. Nice to diss your fans, isn't it?"

Payne had nothing but nice things to say about Oasis, however, claiming that he's still a fan and that their music was actually one of the things that inspired him to sing in the first place, something that he feels the band should be "proud of."

"They don't think before they speak. You never know who was a fan of your music. Especially when you were as big as they were. Do it with grace. Good old Noel, bless him," Payne said.

Gallagher's negative comments were not his first regarding the pop band; he previously called Zayn Malik a "f*cking idiot" for his decision to leave the band.

One Direction performed their last show for awhile during the X Factor finale this past Sunday night (Dec. 13), openly stating that they are taking a break from music at this time.
