There was an outpouring of compassion after the tragedy that occurred on Nov. 13, where members of ISIS opened fire on the crowd at an Eagles of Death Metal concert at Parisian venue, Le Bataclan. The vicious attack killed 89 in the crowd, including the band's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander. The attack also left more than 200 injured. Now, the band is thanking artists for contributing to their campaign entitled the Play It Forward, with covers of "I Love You All The Time."

"I made a plea to artists and business people alike to come together to use our solidarity as proof that we are stronger together, and that we can make a difference," Homme penned in a campaign statement shared with Billboard. "We are proud to be a little part of such a big group of talent and good will. We can't thank these artists enough for their donations of talent, love, time and compassion."

He further wrote, "Now, the Play it Forward Campaign is in the hands of fans to help us make a difference, and to help those affected by this tragedy. Please listen, purchase, play and enjoy - and know that every time you do, you're doing the sweet stuff that makes the difference."

Any publishing proceeds made by the Play It Forward Campaign will go directly to both the family of Nick Alexander and the families of other victims killed in the attacks. Artists that have jumped on the bandwagon so far include Alain Johannes, Dean Ween Group, Ed Harcourt, Florence + The Machine, Imagine Dragons, Jimmy Eat World, Kings of Leon, Mini Mansions, My Morning Jacket, rOOms, Savages, Sinner Sinners, and The New Pacific. In addition, these artists can offer up their covers to be re-done by other bands for even more money to be donated.

Another artist who has been supportive of Eagles of Death Metal following the tragedy is Bono, who was actually seen rehearsing just a few hours before the attacks at the AccorHotels Arena. In addition to having the band up on stage for the last song during a rescheduled concert at the arena, Bono has also reportedly written a song about the tragedy entitled "Streets of Surrender."
