It's been a year of milestones for former Disney star Selena Gomez and winning the Chart-Topper award at Billboard's Women in Music event is just one. In a heartfelt speech during the ceremony, Gomez thanked her team when she took the stage and also talked her new second studio album, Revival, which was a true breakout for her as an artist. The album made No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart immediately after its release, aided by the success of songs such as "Good for You (feat. A$AP Rocky)." "Good for You" hit No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and and No. 1 on the Pop Songs chart. Last year, Chart-Topper was awarded to Iggy Azalea.

"Thank you so much," Gomez said as reported by Billboard. "I want to thank Janice Min and everyone at Billboard for supporting me for not just this record, but for all the times I wanted to create something special and stumbling along the way, figuring out what my sound was."

She further said during her speech, "This album in particular was such a transition record for me, and I have so much still to prove and work on, but I would not be here if I couldn't do what I love without you guys. Thank you so much to my team - Sara Newkirk, Aleen Keshishian, Zach Morganroth, John Janick at Interscope, Aaron Bay-Schuck - they completely gave me the freedom to do what I love, and I didn't really know what that was at first and they stuck with me for a year figuring out what it was and I'm very thankful, so thank you very much."

Gomez also just announced a tour in support of Revival that has 40 dates and will hit musical hotspots New York, Los Angeles and Miami. The Revival World Tour will commence on May 6 and will run through July 8, stopping in venues as big as the Time Warner Cable Arena, with the absolute cheapest ticket available for $45. Gomez was also gifted the opportunity to play a few stops on the Jingle Ball concert series, starring One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer and Nick Jonas.
