On the heels of a very serious illness, Tamar Braxton-Herbert took some time last week to joing her talented family and serenade audience members on the talk show The Real. Viewers of Braxton Family Values saw how difficult it was for the sisters to agree on anything, much less meet to record, but Toni, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar sounded like perfection when they sat on the stage to perform "Mary, Did You Know," from the sisters' latest album, Braxton Family Christmas. Michael also performed with sister Toni, harmonizing to one of the original songs from the album, "Under My Christmas Tree." And yes, Michael can sing, too!

Viewers of the popular show Tamar and Vince have watched as Braxton-Herbert's health rapidly declined due to an intensely busy schedule (Dancing with the Stars, cohosting The Real, putting out new music). Tests revealed the singer suffers from blood clots and a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome, which causes the muscles around her ribs to become enlarged after strenuous activity. After removing the clots with blood thinners, Braxton-Herbert underwent major surgery to have her rib removed and relieve pressure.

But now she's back: New season of her reality show, new season of The Real and two—yes, two—new albums, one as a solo artist and one with her sisters, including the legendary Toni Braxton. The Braxton siblings, including their brother Michael, joined the talk show host onstage (Mommy Evelyn, Vincent Herbert and Braxton-Herbert's son, Logan, were in the audience) to talk about the album and the challenges they had syncing schedules.

This album was even more significant because it is the first project the sisters have release in over two decades. The last one was the single "Good Life," released in 1990. It looks like they clearly haven't lost their stride-their obvious comfort with each other's vocal abilities come from years of harmonizing with one another. It's a nice intro to the album, which was released this past October.

The sisters also discussed Toni's upcoming biopic, Unbreak My Heart. Braxton-Herbert wasn't crazy about the look of the actress chosen to play her, Tiffany Hines, but Toni defended the decision, saying that Hines pulls off Braxton-Herbert quite well. Catch Unbreak My Heart when it premieres Saturday, Jan. 23 on Lifetime.
