Josep "Pep" Guardiola is ending his stint as manager of Bayern Munchen after the 2015/2016 Bundesliga season, but we still don't know for what location he's leaving Munich. Rumors and reports have linked him with Manchester City over the last week or so, but now we're hearing rumors of Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich preparing to break the bank to hire the Spanish coach. According to The Daily Star, rumors suggest that Abramovich is set on landing Guardiola, and won't even entertain other options unless the Munchen manager turns down the Chelsea offer.

Chelsea, of course, just sacked fan-favorite manager Jose "The Special One" Mourinho last week, replacing him with interim coach Guus Hiddink for the rest of the season. It sounds like Hiddink isn't a long-term solution for Abramovich after these new reports about Guardiola have started to circulate.

In fact, this isn't the first time rumors linking Pep and Chelsea have been brought up. Months before Jose's departure, speculation around his firing were in full swing due to the team's sad season and a number of losses, tabloids started naming replacements for Mourinho. As we previously reported, Pep Guardiola was on that list. Diego Simeone and Carlo Ancelotti were also named, but we're placing Guardiola in the lead as of the latest rumors.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti is also linked as Guardiola's Bayern replacement. Read more on this right here.

There are basically too many rumors about Premier League transfers these days to be totally sure which is true and what's simply speculation. All we know is that 2016 holds some exciting moves for English football.
