Riot Fest, the tri-city music festival and exposition, has announced the official, big name stacked lineup for its Toronto edition. Today (May 6), over 50 bands were announced as a part of the Sept. 6 and 7 festival.

According to Consequence Of Sound, The National, The Flaming Lips, Death Cab For Cutie, Rise Against, City and Colour, Metric, Billy Talent and Social Distortion are among the big-name acts at Riot Fest Toronto.

Those groups join the likes of Brand New, The Head And The Heart, Taking Back Sinday, Alkaline Trio, Thurston Moore, Manchester Orchestra, Tokyo Police Club and more. According to the concert poster, more acts are likely to be announced in the following weeks.

The Toronto edition of Riot Fest is just one of three such festivals this summer. There will be similar events in Chicago from Sept. 12 to 14 and Denver from Sept. 19 to 21. Those lineups have yet to be announced.

The flagship Riot Fest in Chicago, which began in 2005, is due to have nearly twice as many bands as the Toronto concert series.

Tickets for the Toronto Riot Fest will go on sale May 10 at 10 a.m. EST.
