'Tis the season of year-end mixes, which it seems every artist is doing as 2015 draws to an end, however, there are few select artists that warrant recognition, and such is the case with Eric Prydz's year-end mix for Beats Radio 1.
Released on Beats 1 Radio (Apple's streaming radio), Prydz dropped the sixth edition of of his mix show, but this one being special due to the fact that it's, well, Eric Prydz and that there's a good amount of unreleased music within the mix, that should get fans excited for what's in store for 2016.
Prydz already announced that he plans on playing his EPIC 4.0 Tour, starting in February in New York City. Although only three dates have been released thus far, the tour is too big not see more venues added to the roster in the near future.
Whenever Prydz tours, it's a massive treat for fans, but Prydz recently broke the news that his upcoming album, which many have been waiting too long for, now has a release date of February 5th, 2016; just a few days before he begins his EPIC 4.0 Tour.
As if all of this great news weren't enough, Prydz dropped a 2-hour mix on his Soundcloud today, showcasing some "classic-Prydz" and some new tunes as well. Nicely pointed out by Dancing Astronaut, there are a few noteworthy tracks in the mix that are worth mentioning. The first is Prydz's remix of Steve Angello's massive track, "Voices." The second is Prydz's take on Axwell's, long-time classic, "Feel The Vibe." And the third is an "ID" track that comes into the mix about three songs in, which should be an indication of what's to come on Prydz's upcoming album.
The world's former No.1, Hardwell, dropped his year-end mix the other day, which was nothing short of spectacular and now, with Prydz just releasing his year-end mix, there certainly isn't a shortage of fantastic music to go around before 2015 comes to a close and we start anew in the music world.
