Sia is poised to make the first major splash in pop music for 2016 when she drops This Is Acting on Friday (Jan. 9), and on Tuesday (Jan. 5) she teased what could very well be her next and biggest single "Reaper," co-produced and co-written by Kanye West.

The two artists along with fellow Chicago rapper Vic Mensa have previously collaborated on West's single "Wolves" for a performance on SNL's 40th anniversary special. The song is supposed to be included on his highly anticipated and long-awaited album SWISH, according to Pitchfork.

"Reaper" is a track that didn't make the cut for SWISH and it sounds as if it's poised to be an instant hit. The combination of Kanye's beats and Sia's vocals make for a pairing that can appeal to the radio and critics alike.

Based on the song title and limited lyrics fans are given in the 11-second teaser, it sounds like Sia is exploring themes of death as she sings, "You came to take me away / So close I was to heavens gates / But no baby no baby not today."

The full song is set to drop Thursday according to a tweet from Sia.

This Is Acting is exclusively filled with songs Sia wrote for other artists in mind but for one reason or another were rejected. Her previously released singles from this album including "Alive" and "Bird Set Free" were both intended for Adele's record-breaking album 25. She also released "One Million Bullets" back in November, which is the only song on the album not written for another artist (as far as she can remember) according to a Rolling Stone interview.

In the interview she detailed how West wasn't even there to write "Reaper" with her even though she was promised he would be to work on a song for Rihanna. Thankfully, it's seeing the light of day thanks to Sia's manager who got it on the album despite Sia's detachment to the song.
