According to a post on Thrice drummer Riley Breckenridge’s Instagram account, the band is deep into the recording process of their new highly anticipated 2016 album.

The post, which was published yesterday (Jan. 9), is accompanied by a picture of Breckenridge’s drum set in the studio, where he claims that he has finished recording all of the percussion for the record.

“Finished up drums for the new @thrice_official record today,” he states in the post. “Tracked the last few on this beast of a @qdrumco galvanized steel kit. Huge thanks to my man @gravyvspackage for making all three of the kits I used sound amazing. I'm so excited about the sounds and takes we captured. #thrice #TBEITBN.”

Thrice, led by frontman Dustin Kensrue, recently revealed that they were planning a new album for release sometime in 2016 on their social media. The news comes after the band reunited in late 2014 for a few festival appearances, including Riot Fest, following an extensive hiatus, according to Alternative Press.

Kensure had been performing as a worship pastor with his Christian congregation at Mars Hill Church, as well as focusing on his latest solo album Carry The Fire, which was just released last year.

Thrice's latest full-length album, Major/Minor, was released in 2011 via Victory Records, who recently went under fire for not paying their artists' royalties, resulting in their entire catalogue being pulled from Spotify.    The band had also released a live album titled Anthology since then.

The yet-to-be-titled new album, which will serve as a follow-up to Major/Minor, seems to be coming sooner than expected. It’s a distinct possibility that Breckenridge’s acronym #TBEITBN could represent the album’s name in some way.
