Yesterday, Wiz Khalifa was in Los Angeles to celebrate the Golden Globe nomination for his track "See You Again" from Furious 7. In a jovial mood on the red carpet, Wiz also felt like sharing and announced the exact release date of his new album Khalifa.

Speaking to E, he said that the LP will be released on Jan. 22. He eventually lost out to Sam Smith's theme song for Spectre that got a lukewarm reception from the music community, but there is still plenty to be excited about for Taylor Gang.

Two weeks ago, in an online vlog geared towards his fans, Wiz announced that the LP would be released sometime in January, so now we have an exact release date.

In December, Wiz said that the LP would feature a track with Travis Scott titled "Bake Sale."

In a tweet, he confirmed the news in a way, saying that the mixes are done so the LP is just about ready to go.

This would be the second big project from Khalifa in as many months. He released Cabin Fever 3 in the middle of December, which features the likes of Curren$y, Juicy J and Chevy Woods, while production was handled by names such as TM88, Easy Mo Bee and DP Beats.

Further details are scarce on his album Khalifa, but a single or the tracklist could drop very, very soon. It isn't clear what is going to happen to his highly anticipated Rolling Papers 2 album or if this is replacing that project, but either way fans will be happy with some new music from Wiz.
