Sia made a rare televised appearance on Ellen this morning (May 19), but the pop singer-songwriter did not show her face. Keeping in line with her recent shying away from the spotlight, Sia chose to face away from the camera while performing her stellar single "Chandelier," and she let her music video come to life.
The dressing for the Ellen performance featured the same walls as the desolate apartment from the track's music video, with bland beige walls, a ratty couch and small table lining the walls.
Meanwhile, Maddie Zeigler (Dance Moms) revisited her blonde wig and nude bodysuit from "Chandelier" as she perfors a magnetizing interpretive dance throughout the scene.
Sia, meanwhile, faced toward the back wall of the set, as she sang live to "Chandelier," absolutely slaying the vocals with some additional flares and tons or emotion.
In the end, the Ellen live debut of "Chandelier" is exactly the type of performance this pop anthem deserved. It was haunting, magnetizing and straight up powerful.
