Danish producer and DJ Morten just released his new single "Beautiful Heartbeat" featuring Frida Sundemo on Avicii's label PRMD. To along with the new single PRMD tabbed a group of producers to remix the track including label boss Avicii, RAC and others.
The remix package kicks off with Avicii who takes the dance-floor driven original and adds a little more emotion into it. Though he originally got famous for the piano in his tracks, which spurred an ugly time of wannabe Avicii's, and then later his incorporation of banjo and acoustic guitar in electronic music, the Swede adds strings to the tune for a different feel from his prior tracks.
It isn't one of the strongest melodies that we have seen from Avicii - those were saved for his latest album Stories , but it is a solid effort that adds another EDM track to his discography. This is the first we have heard from him since his latest album Stories and first song he has released this year during his time away from touring.

RAC has been putting out some smooth, summery synth-pop jams over the second half of 2015 and into 2016, but here he gets back into the world of dance music with a hypnotic take on "Beautiful Heartbeat." He strips away the deep groove from the original and adds his own spacey melody that is a slow burn from start to finish. It is good to see RAC back to remixing after getting a Grammy nomination for his rework of Odesza's "Say My Name." He is currently working on an album that could arrive this year.
Each remix provides their own instrumental take on the track, but they stick with the main strength that is the vocal from Frida Sundemo.
