Despite word of his recent feuds with The Black Keys and TMZ, we can't seem to get enough of or fall out of love with the mysterious Jack White, a man Rolling Stone is calling a "Rock & Roll Willy Wonka" in the newest issue out this Friday (May 23).

Not many are able to venture into the mind of America's favorite modern day rock star, but in a new interview courtesy of the renowned music magazine, White unveils details behind his newest album, Lazaretto, his thoughts on contemporary music (calling Daft Punk "amazing"), and his collaborations with heavy hitters such as Jay-Z and Kanye West.

According to White, Kanye asked him to collaborate on last year's Yeezus, but unfortunately, never followed up. One can only imagine the incredible possibilities had that come to fruition.

Luckily, it seems White holds no grudges (with Kanye, at least), because he claims the Yeezus tour might have been the greatest show he's ever seen. He told Rolling Stone, "It was more punk, more in-your-face than anything I've seen." From that, one can only surmise how much that increased White's desire to work with West.

Also in the interview, the former White Stripe comes clean about his thoughts as to why a previously recorded collaboration with Jay Z never fully matured. Simple put, "I'm not sure he liked them," White said.

Lazaretto, White's second solo album, will be available on June 10.
