Kanye West and Miley Cyrus entered the studio together after the 2013 MTV VMAs, and now we finally have the results of what they recorded: a remix to West's Yeezus single "Black Skinhead." Years after the track was recorded, the full remix arrived online Thursday (Jan. 21) featuring a cover of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World."

The remix to "Black Skinhead" was recorded after Cyrus' infamous twerking on Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs, and is clearly a reflection of both Cyrus' and West's musical rebellion at that time.

"We went to the studio with Kanye, so we went right back to work. We watched the VMAs a little bit then went straight to the studio," Mike Will Made It told MTV News in 2013. "We're all working on that and it's about done. We're touching the beat up a little bit. It sound crazy."

In the opening bars, the beat is more subdued than in the abrasive original version, and Cyrus' vocals wind around the melody of Tears for Fears' new wave classic.

When West enters the song, his delivery is slightly more mild-mannered than in the Yeezus original but it still manages to pack quite the punch.

The remix cuts between Cyrus' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" cover and West's own "Black Skinhead" with a little peppering of ad-libs here and there to tie the two songs together.

Though West has promised the release of new music every week leading up the release of his new album Swish, it's not clear whether or not this remix is an official single or warranted release.

West's new album Swish is due to be released on Feb. 11.
