Steve Angello has at last released his new album Wild Youth to stream and download. The ex-Swedish House Mafia member has been working on this album ever since the mighty dance trio split in 2013. The 13-track LP avoids the trappings of big-name collabs for the sake of their star-power instead calling upon artists he knows well like David Garza, The Presets or Andrew Wyatt or newcomers such as Dan Reynolds, Mako, Alex Aris or Tom Taped.
As singles and the need for instant gratification erode the album format, some artists put out what feels like greatest hits compilations in the form of an LP. Angello makes sure to avoid that pitfall with an album that flows effortlessly from start to finish.
There are elements of indie dance, house music, disco and of course the big melodies that expects from festival main stage mainstay Steve Angello. This is not the album that one might expect from the Size Records don several years ago as he was bringing dance music to arenas all over the world.
Angello decided to release the album in two parts. Back in November he released Chapter 1 of the album, with the rest of the LP to come today. Now fans can listen to the full thing as it was meant to be mixed together from start to finish.
