Definitely NSFW, Flying Lotus provides an eerie soundtrack to the twisted 8 and a half minute flick that draws inspiration from 1930s horror movies and Japanese film.

The film focuses on a girl who is able to time travel back in time to try and connect with herself. Struggling with her identity and gender, time eventually folds in on itself as the film gets gorier and gorier with FlyLo's music adding to the suspense and anticipation.

The film was showed at this year's Sundance, after getting love on the 2015 film circuit in various short film festivals like AFI Fest, Bogota Short Film Festival and Twister Alley Film Festival.

Speaking to Thump, Alcazar spoke about how he linked up with Flying Lotus to put together this horrific music for the film and how it helped inspire parts of the visuals.

"I had a few meetings with Steven, and he played me a few original tracks. There was one in particular that inspired the torture sequence you see in the film. We basically did one shoot and I storyboarded a few sequences. Then we had about a month and half downtime to take it all in and edit, and then we went ahead and shot another day."

He continues, "I was really inspired by his mood and tone and emotion for this film. I wanted it to be a pretty raw collaboration, I didn't just want to be doing my thing. I'm able to tap into his psyche and understand what he wants to put out there."

Watch the film below and pay attention to how close the music works with the film.
