Black Sabbath have announced that a couple of dates of their upcoming final tour The End have been postponed due to frontman Ozzy Osbourne's sickness.

Osbourne had announced via his official Twitter page that an unfortunate bout of sinusitis, which is an acute inflammation of the sinuses, has resulted in the band's decision to cancel and postpone two tour dates in Canada, one in Edmonton, which had been set for January 30 and one in Calgary, which was scheduled for today (Feb. 1).

The only good news about the cancelled dates is that Osbourne confirms that the "rescheduled dates will be announced soon." The remainder of the tour remains in tact until September, when the band will reportedly cease operations while Osbourne returns to his solo career indefinitely.

Recently, the band announced that they would be releasing a brand new 8-track album that will only be available for those that attend their tour. The Rick Rubin-produced tracks were mostly recorded during the band's 2013 studio sessions for their latest studio album 13. It will also contain a few live versions of some older songs in the band's repertoire.

Prior to the band's tour announcement, Osbourne, along with bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi all hinted that the iconic hard rock outfit would hit the studio one last time for a final album, but those rumors were later squashed by some firm comments by the band, who stated that they had altered their plans to trash a final album in an effort to focus on the tour.

"I'm not saying I won't ever get on stage with Geezer or Tony or any of them again, but officially, as Sabbath, we're done, and I'll go back to doing my own thing," Osbourne said recently.

He added: "We were gonna do one [other album] before the tour, but it would take three or four years to write and record an album, by which time I'll be f*cking 73 or 72 or something, so we decided just to do a farewell tour."
