It is official -- Dr. Dre has signed producer and singer, Anderson .Paak to Aftermath Entertainment. The announcement was made yesterday via Anderson's Twitter account.

Anderson recently released his second album, Malibu, and was featured on multiple tracks on the Compton album as well as The Game's album, The Documentary 2.5. The singer had been working independently for quite some time and has already released four albums including Malibu and four EPs, including the most recent, Link Up & Suede with Knxwledge.

Anderson will be joining Justus and Jon Connor, recent Aftermath signees, on the label.

We recently talked to Anderson about releasing Malibu, where he detailed working with Dre.

"It felt amazing! That stamp. That co-sign. Everybody doesn't get that but dreams of getting it. I couldn't imagine ever really getting a change to work with him but I always wanted to so it's like this is what we always wanted so I guess it makes sense," he said. "But to think if someone would have told me I'd be on his project five years ago I wouldn't have believed them. It was amazing to work with him. I was just trying to really be in the moment and capture every little piece and soak up every little thing while there because I didn't know if I would be back. Or if they would keep the music. I was just really excited and happy and felt blessed to be working in the same room as him. I had no clue that all the other stuff I recorded would actually make the record."
