Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo is apparently still being tinkered with, which is why it hasn't been officially released to the public for download. One reason for the one of the of the delays was Chance The Rapper still had some work to do at the 11th hour on his soulful collaboration "Ultralight Beam." He has taken to crowd-sourcing lyric website Genius to annotate the song and give some extra meaning to his own lyrics.

Speaking on the "Tubman of the underground, come and follow the trail" lyric, he points to his own role as a rapper in Chicago, saying, "The Tubman line refers to my own leadership of all other artists towards independence and freedom."

He co-signs other annotations about his practice of giving away music for free, which makes him ineligible for winning Grammys "I hear you gotta sell it to snatch the Grammy / let's make it so free and the bars so hard."

The song has a lot of references to god, more specifically praising to god, with lines like "glory be to god, yeah." The biblical nature of the song, mixed with the gospel choir and production lent itself to being the outro, but instead it was put as the opening track.

"This song was going to be the outro and there it kind of made more sense," explains Chance "But it's a reference to God's covenant with us after flooding the world."

Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo is currently exclusively streaming on TIDAL and according to a recent Tweet from Ye, it will only be available on the streaming service, which could be its ace in the hole going forward, but problematic for Kanye's finances if he is $53 million in debt.
