Miguel and Travis Scott have shared the music video for the remix version of "Waves" that was released three weeks ago. The original track is taken from Miguel's critically acclaimed 2015 album Wildheart.
The video was filmed entirely at Miguel's recent Wildheart Hotel show in Los Angeles, which featured cameos from the likes of Rihanna and of course Travi$ Scott. Rihanna came out to a special rendition of The Tempations' "My Girl" with Miguel during that show.
The visuals are shot in lo-fi type of footage, giving the video a vintage type of appeal that matches the branding and style of Miguel. The pair perform the song on top of the hotel with a throng of adoring fans down below as Scott comes prepared in a large winter coat, singling out a few women during the performance. Miguel is up there turning up, having a good time in a long flowing shirt.
The event was hosted in a hotel where attendees could roam around 21 different roams. The first room had Miguel's bassist, guitarist and drummer jamming with an open mic for people to try and impress. His band had to head up to the roof the main show with Miguel around 11:30 p.m.
The new video is the latest visuals to emerge from Miguel's Wildheart. He released a video for the original version of "Waves" back in October. That video was also a party scene, however Miguel took a much more involved role in it, imbibing in tequila that is his beverage of choice.
