When it comes to hip-hop, R&B and even pop music videos, you're most likely going to see some twerking. No matter what you think of the form of dancing, it is too popular to not have in the video. So when Rihanna was showing off her twerking skills with Drake in her new music videos (yes, there are two) for her ANTI single "Work," many were excited to see the two in such an intimate situation. Before you start spreading dating rumors though, the music video director, aptly named Director X, has said that cultural differences have us thinking naughty things while the dance was simply a dance!

It's clear that twerking is enticing and sexual, especially if you attempt to describe it or write it out (I decided not to), but it's also just a dance. According to Director X, those reading too much into the "Work" music video twerking just don't understand the cultural dance of the Caribbean.

Speaking with Fader, the music video director decided to clear up any and all rumors that have started to spread.

"A lot of people are talking about the way Drake and Rihanna dance in this video, and how sexual it is," he explained, according to UPROXX. "Is that people looking at Caribbean culture from the West? Like, it's not that deep right? Exactly. So you see that part of Rihanna dancing with the guy? That is Caribbean culture at its height. He was dancing, she saw him, she went to him, they had a dance together. At no point did anyone think, 'Hey we're dancing, so maybe...later....' It doesn't work like that. In West Indian culture, a dance is a dance. You can have that dance. There could be a girl jumping on top of you and you're winding up on one another."
