To say Chris Brown has had a bumpy career is a bit of an understatement, and now the "Back to Sleep" singer is looking to share his side of the story with his first-ever movie. On Tuesday (March 15), Brown announced that he will be releasing an "official documentary" Welcome to My Life.

Brown announced his Welcome to My Life documentary on his Instagram, sharing the movie's poster.

Though details surrounding the plot of the film or release date remain scarce, it seems like it will not shy away from Brown's controversies, from his multiple arrests to his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna ahead of the 2009 Grammys. In fact, the movie's tagline "He went from being America's Sweetheart to public enemy number one," make it seem as though Welcome to My Life will address these parts of Brown's life directly.

Beyond the intriguing tagline, the Welcome to My Life poster features Brown sitting on the floor of a stage, with his knees to his chest, as he stares up at a spotlight.

No release date for Welcome to My Life has been revealed, though Brown did note that the documentary will be "coming soon."

Brown is no stranger to the world of silver screens. He has previously acted in a few movies, including Think Like a Man and Battle of the Year. Brown also had a small story arc on The O.C.

However, Welcome to My Life will be his first dive into the world of documentaries, following the likes of One Direction, Justin Bieber, LCD Soundsystem and more who have all gotten the doc treatment in recent years.
