Kygo has been gearing up to release his new album Cloud Nine sometime later this year, but in the interim he has unveiled the latest single from the LP "Fragile" featuring UK singer and rapper Labrinth.

The song is different from what fans are used to hearing from the tropical house producer and DJ. Kygo leaves the few notes that have appeared in most of his songs over the past year and a half and have become associated with tropical house behind for something much more subdued. Instead there is just a soft and organic piano with organ and electric guitar riffs under the soaring voice of Labrinth. The UK vocalist leaves behind his pop and hip-hop sensibilities for a softer, more emotional style.

In the hook it crescendos into a something that pays homage to a 1980's arena rock song with booming snare and electric guitar riffs under Labrinth soaring vocal, yelling out, "Come take my heart of glass / And give me your love / I hope you'll still be there / To pick the pieces up / Cause baby I'm fragile, fragile, fragile / Cause baby I'm fragile, fragile, fragile." It can be a bit odd to sit next to Kygo's other songs, but if he wants to branch out from the sound he has created and seemingly grown a little tired of, this is a good way to start.

In a cryptic post on Facebook, Kygo shared a series of dates over the next month and a half. There is one date this month and two in April with the grand finale on May 13. Some have speculated that this is when Cloud Nine will be released, but Kygo has not confirmed that fact. The LP was originally slated for release on Feb. 12, but it was delayed indefinitely.
