Rapper Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records mogul Bryan "Birdman" Williams are finally back on good terms. But really - how did that all come about?

Apparently, Mannie Fresh got them back together for an official Hot Boys studio reunion. And the rest is history!

During a recent interview with Genius, Fresh explains that his latest single with Juvenile entitled "Hate" wasn't necessarily supposed to be some huge collaboration. But they were looking for an epic "throwback" sound, so obviously needed some help from Weezy and Birdman. Luckily, the YMCMB supertar was only a few blocks away working on another recording. He enthusiastically told his "Back That A$$ Up" buddies to bring the track over.

Fresh then decided to take another chance by asking Wayne's ultimate industry "fremeny" to "lace" the song with one of his famed intros (via HopNewHipHop.com). So Birdman quickly agreed, and the "Drop the World" emcee was totally cool with that. In fact, the Big Tymers hypeman hopes to produce more hits like "Hate" -

So, what's next?

"We probably did five songs that night, songs with that old Cash Money sound," Fresh reveals. "The hard part is convincing them to do the whole [Hot Boys] album."

Unfortunately, the heated feud isn't entirely over. Still, Fresh strongly believes that he helped ease some of the tension:

"We can resolve all that behind the curtain, but for now, let's make music for the people... When it all started coming together, the brotherly love came out."

Back in January, Fresh also teased:

"The fans demanded this, to them it's iconic... It's necessary that y'all come back and do this album, and even show the planet that whatever was going on with us we can get over that" (via AllHipHop.com).
