We all have "squad goals" thanks to the incredibly popular music video for "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift, featuring singers, actresses and models coming together for a friendship like no other. Unfortunately, one actress thinks that "squads," especially this high-profile celebrity example, are promoting a form of exclusivity. In an upcoming cover story interview with Complex, actress Chloe Grace Moretz voices her opinion on this viral subject.

Moretz is friends with Selena Gomez, a prominent member of Swift's squad who was also featured in the music video for the 1989 track. Considering this relation, the magazine asked the Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star if she was asked to join the squad. The 19-year-old actress avoided a straight answer by calling Swift "a very talented person," and seemed to want to say a bit more, but held back due to an obvious backlash that could occur. She did however have some choice words about "squads" and what they represent.

"They appropriate exclusivity," the actress explained to the magazine. "They're cliques!"

"It's about equality and it's not just about women being powerful," she added when asked about feminism, according to UPROXX. "It's about races being powerful; genders being powerful."

Putting two and two together, reading between the lines, and other stuff like that, it sounds like Moretz isn't about that squad life. We don't expect her to show up arm-in-arm with Swift and her crew at an awards ceremony, but we also wouldn't be surprised if she did. Swift has a way with other celebrities!

Chloe Grace Moretz can next be seen on the big screen on May 20, 2016 when Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising hits theaters. You can watch a funny trailer for this movie right here:
