Watch out. Pop-punk is about to be back in the world's ears in a big way, and it's all thanks to Australian boy band 5 Seconds Of Summer. Though they open for One Direction now, this four-piece is out to take on the music industry themselves, and today (June 17) a new song has arrived online: "Kiss Me Kiss Me."

The new song, which popped up online after being offered as a pre-order incentive to iTunes buyers, find 5SOS teaming up with one of its biggest influences... Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low, according to Idolator.

Gaskarth's mark on the song is unmistakable, as 5 Seconds Of Summer rip through the pop-punky goodness with peppy little guitars turned all the way up to 11, a chorus full of boastful "Ohs" and hooks galore.

Though 5 Seconds Of Summer claim to be a full blown band (and not a boy band like One Direction), there's something notably bubblegummy about "Kiss Me Kiss Me." Maybe it's the overt happiness in the lyrics, which find the foursome begging for a few more kisses from its teenage love.

This is a song by teenagers, for teenagers, and it just oozes of youthful zest and hopefulness. These are punkers yet to be scorned by society's ways. Let's hope they stay that way, you know, for the kids.
