Chance the Rapper and New Era is clearly a match made in hip-hop fashion heaven, so we're not surprised at the news that the lyricist has teamed up with the hat company to redesign headwear for the Chicago White Sox. The windy city's South Side team has always been repped by the rapper, allowing for the redesign of the iconic baseball cap logo to go so smoothly. Check out a video of Chance talking about the new hats from New Era below.

The Chicago MC is definitely proud of the new designs, which is available for purchase on Friday April 8, 2016.

In the promotional video for the new baseball caps, Chance the Rapper shows off his funny side with awkward and laughable situations and examples of how well the new designs work. According to Chance, the new hats work in the dugout, from the stands, and at the plate. Basically, the redesigned Sox caps shouldn't be taken as a slight against the classic design, but rather a new direction and look for the team.

Hopefully, Chance the Rapper's popularity in the city and as a Sox fan will help sell some of the younger fans of the team on this new hat, and perhaps some of the more diehard fans as well.

To purchase the caps and learn more about the process, head over to Chance's website right here. Will you pick up a redesigned Chicago White Sox hat? Let us know in the comments section below.
