Flume is back at it again with a new song in between Coachella sets. The "Never Be Like You" DJ went on BBC Radio One to chat with Annie Mac once again and premiere a new song live on air -- his collaboration with Tove Lo titled "Say It." In addition to the new song, the pre-order for his album Skin went live in New Zealand and revealed the full tracklist, which includes collaborations with Raekwon, Little Dragon, Beck and others.
"Say It" has the potential to be as big as "Never Be Like You" with the sweet sugary synths that has made the Flume sound so recognizable and copied by too many other producers in Australia and worldwide. The big bold hooks of rolling snares and synths flow right underneath Tove Lo's soaring shouts.
After premiering the song, Flume talks about how the track came together. He shares that after going to a concert one night in Los Angeles, he was in a bar and heard Tove Lo's "Habits" and had to Shazam it. He reached out to her, they linked up on LA and wrote the track in two days.
Fans have already heard some of the material on the LP, but judging from the tracklist, there are plenty of tasty bits still remaining for Flume left to unveil. Pre-order on iTunes here.
