Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, has discovered his assistant dead on his property in Nashville, Tennessee, apparently dead from an ATV accident, according to police. It is suspected that his 30-year-old assistant named Michael Sacha died while bringing guests to a cookout on the estate, held in Whites Creek.

The police believe that Sacha was bringing the guests to an Uber in the driveway of Ritchie’s property late this past Monday when he lost control of the vehicle. When Ritchie and his friend discovered the body on an embankment Monday morning, they called 911 for help as reported by police.

The public information officer with the Nashville Fire Department Brian Haas, said that the department responded to a call on Monday morning and discovered Sacha’s remains on the edge of the driveway. While Ritchie had been scheduled to return to Michigan to visit family, he decided to stay so that he could return Sacha to his family.

Ritchie claimed that he was “beyond devastated” in the statement released to The Tennessean and further said, “He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with. I know speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family. I cannot imagine how they must feel.”

Rock further said, “We’ve already been contacted by the press asking if it was me who was in the accident, so I want to stop any rumors before they spread. I’m asking everyone to please respect our and his families’ privacy in this difficult time. RIP Mike. We will never forget you, my friend.”

In other Kid Rock news, he recently headlined Sweetwater 420 Fest in Atlanta along with Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Ludacris, The Disco Biscuits, Bastille, The Roots, Cypress Hill, Atmosphere, Manchester Orchestra, Dawes, and Tokyo Police Club amongst others.
