The popular international streaming service prides itself in delivering a batch of fresh programs for their subscribers' enjoyment. Runnin' Down a Dream is a four-hour documentary film chronicling the history of American rock band, Tom Perry and the Heartbreakers. The 2007 film, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, takes fans on an intimate journey of the band, from its early years when they were known as Mudcrutch all the way to their memorable 30th anniversary concert at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in 2006. It also features rare interviews and live performances.
Netflix is also offering something for the younger generation. Rock music takes a new form in the French animated television series, LoliRock. The show follows Iris, a girl who invokes her magical powers every time she uses her beautiful singing voice. She meets Talia and Auriana, who are desperately searching for a princess. The trio soon become best friends, form a band called LoliRock, and fight against mystical warriors.
