Liverpool FC and Villarreal CF meet today for an exciting first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, but let's take a look at each teams' anthems. We all know that Liverpool's iconic anthem is shared by many, but made popular in England, but Villarreal actually take a Liverpool classic as their own. So, which tune is better: "Never Walk Alone" or "Yellow Submarine?"

The smaller of the two clubs, Villarreal are catching worldwide attention this year, making it to the coveted semi-finals of the Europa League. So did you know that the team's anthem is "Yellow Submarine" by The Beatles?

The Beatles, of course, hail from Liverpool, but the proud city of Vila-real has adopted it for the team's official color. Today's game is a fitting event for this song, for very great reasons, but we're sure that Liverpool fans prefer their song - which is arguably the best soccer anthem heard chanted around the world.

"Never Walk Alone" by Gerry and the Pacemakers is arguably the international anthem for the sport, but it's most recognizably associated with Liverpool.

This season, Liverpool saw some downfalls with Brendan Rodgers' sacking, but new manager Jurgen Klopp has proven that the team can strike back despite the misery.

The song is very powerful and easy to sing, but so is "Yellow Submarine." Based on catchiness, these songs are tied. But, in regards to football, which is why we're all here today, "Never Walk Alone" is the winner.

What do you think of these songs? What do you think of the Europa League tie? Let us know in the comments section below!
