Like many other dance artists who have created a strong brand and want to control their own destiny, Flosstradamus, have announced the launch of their own label Hi Def Youth. The first release on the freshly inaugurated label will come from New York native, Party Thieves and his four-track EP Unguarded.
"Like many trap artists, Flosstradamus was one of the first trap acts that inspired me to get into production and pursue a music career," says Party Thieves about being added to the label. "Being able to join HDY Nation as the first artist to release under Hi Def Youth is truly an honor."
When we caught up with Party Thieves back in August at Billboard Hot 100 Festival, he spoke about working on a project with Flosstradamus. This could have been what he was talking about. Coming in at four tracks, the Unguarded EP will feature three uptempo tracks and an intro dedicated to his nephew.
The label is the latest step for Flosstradamus who have built a strong brand with their HDYNATION.
"We've been gearing up to launch our label Hi Def Youth and are extremely excited to kick it off with one of our favorite new producers Party Thieves," Flosstradamus says in a statement.
Listen to the first track from the EP, "BADD" with all of its relentless energy. The EP will be released on May 13. The pair has not revealed their plans for any further releases, but it could mean that they are able to share more music when they want through this new imprint. 2016 should be an exciting year for all of the HDY boys and girls looking for more Flosstradamus.
