Kaytranada has released his debut artist album 99.9%. The LP has a whole host of features from the likes of Craig David, Anderson .Paak, Little Dragon, AlunaGeorge and Vic Mensa.

Having released countless EPs, remix packages and demos under his own name and with others, this is the first full-length, polished project from Kaytranada and it has that finished sheen to it.

Coming in at 15-tracks, it has a nice balance of straight instrumentals and vocal tracks that vary from the crooning voice of Craig David to the rapping of Vic Mensa. The instrumentals aren't all just R&B, influenced electronic beats or those that lean towards hip-hop, there is a variety of different influences like the funky "Breakdance Lesson 1."

Even with all of these collaborators, this is still very much a Kaytranada album. The LP turns up in a sort of 4 am, club is about to close kind of way on "Drive Me Crazy," to match Vic Mensa's energy, but after he is done about three minutes in, Kaytranada takes over for another minute or so with his own instrumental, reminding the listener who is the boss on this album.

Some of the early instrumentals don't seem to have the imagination as the later ones have, but they can serve as introduction to the LP with the sound people are used to from the Montreal producer.
