Chris Brown suggested on Twitter Tuesday morning that his next album may be his last, to the joy of some and the sorrow of others. Brown was just jailed Monday, albeit for less than an hour, for his role in a hit-and-run incident and it's possible that emotions from that have the R&B star feeling a little moody.

"Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album," he tweeted. "X" is planned to release on August 20. There's been no statement from representatives for Brown, but the performer expressed his exhaustion with being relegated to being the guy who hit Rihanna.

"Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when I was 18. I'm cool & over it!" he wrote.

Yesterday's jailing was in relation to a June incident where Brown was driving with (possible) girlfriend Karrueche Tran when he rear-ended a Mercedes Benz. Here's where the details get murky, depending on who you ask. According to the driver of the car, Brown failed to provide information and angrily cursed at her before driving off. If you believe Brown, he provided license and insurance information before driving off. If you believe the Los Angeles Police Department, Brown did provide a license and insurance information, but the insurance was for his Lamborghini, not the Land Rover he was driving, which belonged to Tran. One way or another, Brown was charged with hit-and-run.

A judge revoked Brown's probation from his assault on Rihanna. There is a final hearing on August 19 to determine whether Brown was in fact in probation. If so, he faces up to four years in prison, but the performer will be free to go if cleared.
