The Glastonbury Festival kicks off tomorrow, and while the line-up for the entire weekend proves to be rather stellar, the festival's organizer, Emily Eavis, admits she may have placed some artists next to one another intentionally. Her reason? Well, of course, possible collaborations.

At the top of her list ... Jack White and Robert Plant.

Both Plant and White are scheduled to perform this Saturday on the event's main stage, with the former Led Zeppelin frontman going on at 5:30p.m. and the once-upon-a-time White Stripe stepping onstage just afterwards at 7:30p.m. Eavis recently told NME, "It was quite an exciting moment when we thought let's put them next to each other. I don't think they are going to do anything together – but you never know."

It goes without saying that a Jack White / Robert Plant collaboration would undeniably be the talk of the town. Both acts have been heavily reported on as of late, with White's recent feud with The Black Keys (and then some) and Plant's back-and-forth with fellow Led Zeppelin mate Jimmy Page.

Though having the legendary Led Zeppelin singer play at the festival is certainly a win for Glastonbury, Eavis explains that White is actually the guy she's truly excited about. "Having Jack White is a big deal for us as obviously he's not doing any other British festivals," she stated. "He's got a great history here. He's a proper Glastonbury-goer, he's not like in-and-out. He gets totally stuck in."

White is currently touring for his recent release Lazaretto, which Music Times reviewed.
