As a band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers has been dubbed as one of the rock icons in the music industry and the band is slowly becoming a legend. As the band recently revealed their 11th album, The Getaway, see what this LP has in store for fans. The Getaway is Red Hot Chili Peppers second album since John Frusciante (guitarist) left the band for the second time. This made the new compilation not as fun compared to its predecessors as the listeners won't feel the complete music chemistry of Flea (bassist), Chad Smith (drummer) and, of course, Anthony Kiedis (lead vocals).
Although it's "far more instrumentally tight," Josh Klinghoffer, the guitarist who replaced Frusciante, perfectly filled the hole left by Red Hot Chili Peppers' longtime guitar player. In fact, his unique guitar leads leaves everyone in awe when he starts to perform and feel the music.
But, Kiedis' untimely bad lyrics quite ruined The Getaway. In the words of "Detroit," the 53-year-old vocalist sang, "don't you worry, baby / I'm like 'Detroit,' I'm crazy." It looks like he forced "baby" and "crazy" in the song to have rhyming words, though they were not really needed.

However, The Daily mentioned that "Detroit" is not really a bad song as The Getaway is fully inspired by Kiedis' heartbreak with the Australian model, Helena Vestergaard. To recall, he was open to talking about how the main culprits in their breakup were their big age difference, addictions and other issues that made them close, but also broke them apart.
The Getaway's first single, "Dark Necessities," can be dubbed as the best song from the album. "You don't know my mind / You don't know my kind / Dark necessities are part of my design / Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky," its meaningful lyrics read.
Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the few bands who is often seen on the Billboard's chart list and they've spent a lot of time there since they started. The group was named as an Alternative band, but they originally played Modern Rock, as per MTV.
Now, Red Hot Chili Peppers, responsible for the hits "Under the Bridge," "Otherside," "Californication," and "Can't Stop," among others, owned the Triple Crown for being on the most No. 1 list and spending the most weeks for being on top. In fact, most of their songs made it on the top 10 chart.
