Bassnectar Shares Full Details for Bass Center Camping Festival
The inaugural Bass Center is scheduled to go down July 29-30 in Commerce City, Colorado. As Bass Heads take to Twitter to count down the days until Wu-Tang Clan, Porter Robinson, Flux Pavilion and others join Bassnectar for the first-ever two-day camping festival hosted by Lorin Ashton himself, the producer and his team has shared the full details for the almost sold-out event, including a stacked Silent Disco.
After dancing to Flying Lotus, Lupe Fiasco, Alunageorge, Minnesota, G Jones, Dabin, Thriftworks, Porter Robinson, Wu-Tang Clan and Flux Pavilion, attendees will be treated to extended sets from Bassnectar each night. When the concert ends each night, the party doesn't stop: the Bass Center Late Nights programs go pretty much until the sun comes up.
Those with camping passes are in store for what looks like a massive silent disco featuring Liquid Stranger, ill.Gates, Run DMT, LUZCID, The Librarian, Jantsen b2b Dirty Monkey, Lafa Taylor and CraZ just to name a few. The flyer doesn't list an end time so fans can likely count on dancing well into the next morning.
WOWZERS! Presenting our full lineup for the #BassCenter Campsite Silent Disco
BassHeads who didn’t secure one of the limited camping passes are still in luck as there are after parties featuring mostly the same lineup going down at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood and Cervantes’ Masterpiece in Denver.
The Silent Disco camping party is shaping up to be the ruckus affair Ashton’s masses of fans petitioned for last year. According to Bassnectar’s website, the live performance art crew known as The Fungineers will be keeping the party going with puppet shows and general “absurdity.”
Bassnectar recently hinted that a wide array of performance artists -- including clowns, contortionists, flow artists, dancers, costumed characters and parkour athletes -- will be roaming throughout the venue all weekend long. He sent out a call for performers via social media, encouraging fans “even if you want to spend a day dressed like an ooompa-loompa wandering around blowing bubbles: bring the freak vibe.”
