Joe Perry will be returning to the Hollywood Vampires tour following a health scare in early June (June 10) during a performance in Brooklyn.

Frontman Alice Cooper revealed that Perry will be returning on Friday, July 22 in California. The tweet further said that Perry will be finishing the tour with the rest of the band.

Perry had walked offstage in the middle of the band’s performance at the Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn when the health scare occurred. His bandmate in Aerosmith, Tom Hamilton, later assured fans that Perry was doing “better than we all first feared.” Fellow bandmate Steven Tyler also said that he was “really concerned” that it might be part of a bigger problem according to Billboard.

People at the venue had noted that Perry looked “thin” shortly before he performed that night, but that he looked “fine” during the meet-and-greet session.

In a video posted at the time, Perry can be seen playing the guitar while he sits near the drum set. But shortly after he began playing he staggered offstage. ABC7NY reported that Perry collapsed backstage and firefighters came to carry him away.

Following his collapse backstage, firefighters came to his aid and reportedly an audience member who also served as an emergency medical technician performed CPR on the rocker onstage. Perry was then brought to Coney Island Hospital for testing and transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. A few hours after be was brought to the hospital, Cooper confirmed that Perry’s condition had stabilized and that he was recovering well.

The tour is slated to continue in Rohnert Park, California and will run for three additional dates that are scheduled with one in Oregon and two more in California.
