A psychological exam has been ordered for Justin Bieber’s ex-neighbors following the infamous “egging incident” lawsuit. The initial suit brought forth accused the pop star of “emotionally terrorizing” them while living next door.

Judge Holly J. Fujie of the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that examinations of mental stability were to be put in place should the lawsuit be allowed to continue according to Billboard. The psychological exam is meant to prove that Jeffrey and Suzanne Schwartz did in fact undergo serious emotional trauma while living next door to Bieber.

The Schwartzes lawyers asserted that a psychological exam stretching seven hours long was a bit excessive and should not be ordered. But Fujie ordered that since the two had claimed “severe emotional distress” at the hands of Bieber it was “even more important to have a mental exam.”

The lawsuit was filed in March 2015 and in it Jeffrey Schwartz asserted that Bieber had spat on him. The couple also listed loud parties, drug use and aggressive driving in the suit. The Schwartzes had lived next to Bieber in a Calabasas gated community until the pop star moved.

The Schwartzes attorney John C. Carpenter has yet to comment on the ruling but Bieber’s lawyer Jeremiah Reynolds said he “was pleased” with Fuije’s decision.

In other Bieber news, the pop star recently turned down a lucrative offer to perform at a Republican Party Event. The performance would have taken place at the Republican Party Convention in Cleveland.

TMZ reported that Bieber had been told the event wasn’t politically endorsed and that his performance would not be affiliated with Donald Trump or any GOP policies. The offer had initially been sent to his talent agency CAA, and he was offered $5 million to perform a 45-minute set Quicken Loans Arena, a venue close to the convention.

Reportedly, Hillary Clinton supporter and Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun took issue with the offer, and was behind the pop star turning it down.
