After appearing in the Canadian band Arkells' music video for the song "Drake's Dad," Drake's dad, Dennis Graham, is now ready to start his own R&B career. In fact, he plans to release his first single titled "Kinda Crazy" within the next couple of weeks.

According to TMZ, the upcoming track will be the first song from his album, which does not have a title yet. For the entire project, Graham has enlisted help of Jamie Iovine, a music producer and the CRO of Meltdown Comics. He is also the son of Jimmy Iovine, the co-founder of Interscope Records and Dr. Dre's partner in Beats Electronics.

Graham also worked on a music video for "Kinda Crazy." Although it has not yet been officially released, TMZ has managed to obtain a short clip from the video.

As noted by the entertainment news site, Graham has gained the approval of Drake for his new project.

The upcoming song will not be Graham's first work in the music industry. Last week, he helped Arkells latest single "Drake's Dad" reach the No. 2 spot on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Emerging Charts by appearing in its music video.

The song, which is part of the band's Morning Report album, tells the story of what happened to the members of Arkells after they met Graham, according to Billboard.

Graham also made his mark in the music industry by performing as a drummer for country musician Jerry Lee Lewis, the Office Magazine reported.

Aside from playing music, Graham also dabbled in acting by appearing in various commercials, films and television projects.

"I went to acting school here in L.A.," he told the Office Magazine. "I studied with Lee Strasberg. I did commercials for Gillette, Budweiser, I was in a movie with Tommy Lee Jones called The Park is Mine, and then I had a series in Toronto that I used to do."
