Just when the church was ready to say Amen to the announcement of Gospel recording artist and Pastor Donnie McClurkin's engagement to Nicole C MullenErica Campbell declared the information to be "false news" on her social media sites, setting the record straight that they are not engaged as of now but are in a loving relationship.

Christian Post originally reported that while visiting the TBN network ministry show Praise The Lord, McClurkin revealed to everyone watching that he and Mullen are getting married. The site informed that McClurkin and Mullen were to receive marraige counseling from A.R. Bernard and were "on course to getting married."

Perhaps the confusion began when the show's host, Matt Crouch stated plainly, "Donnie McClurkin's getting married! Come on," as reported by the Christian site.

Apparently, that information was a tad bit off according to Mullen's Twitter page, who shared the corrected post of Mary Mary's Campbell and Gospel recording artist and former radio host of her self-titled morning show Yolanda Adams.

In her own words she confirmed that they are indeed headed in that direction but as of now they are following the right protocol.

Both Campbell and Adams apologized for the inaccurate sharing of the misconstrued information. And Campbell added how important it is to be the first to share exciting news such as an engagement with the public and that news should respectfully be announced and confirmed by the engaged couple themselves.

McClurkin himself even added to the falsely reported information by video addressing the "blatantly false storyline" reported by the Christian site.
