The Seattle-based supergroup Temple of the Dog partnered with Vevo to officially release the lost track "Black Cat." The song will be included in the reissue of the band's self-titled Temple of the Dog debut album.

According to Rolling Stone, "Black Cat" was a demo song that did not make the cut for the band's first studio album, released in 1991. Although the song was already leaked on various online platforms including YouTube, it has never been officially released by the band until now.

As a treat to fans, the notable members of Temple of the Dog has decided to release the track and include it in the band's 25th Anniversary Reissue Collection, which is now available for pre-orders through the group's online shop.

Aside from the album's reissue, Temple of the Dog, which is composed of Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament and Mike McCready and Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, plans to celebrate the group's 25th anniversary by going on its first tour.

As noted by Cornell, despite the musical background of the band's members, Temple of the Dog will probably not perform songs by Pearl Jam or Soundgarden in the upcoming live shows.

"I feel like that doesn't feel right in my gut," the vocalist told Rolling Stone. "That's nothing that I talked about with anybody. It's just you asking and me reacting. It doesn't feel like the right thing, but I might change my mind."

According to Consequence of Sound, the band's tour will be held in November this year and will start in Pennsylvania.
